"News Bite"

Last summer, Rob Shearman of Rob's Event Catering attracted the attention of news teams across the South coast when he commissioned a 'Sundance' for Bournemouth beaches. After one of the wettest Julys on record, Rob teamed up with Sue Hill of Wessex School of Dancing , who choreographed a routine for Rob and his staff based on ancient Sundance rituals. Rob ( pictured right/Meridian TV ) said "The weather has been dreadful this year. We cater for eight sites on Bournemouth seafront so it felt right to do whatever we could to make the sun shine. It was a bit of fun and thankfully my staff were brilliant and threw themselves into it. Of course only time will tell as to whether it worked or not."

Local newspapers and regional TV and radio picked up the story and it received considerable coverage even though reporters needed to borrow one or two umbrellas for the interviews!
